Medina district:

As described previously, the Medina is the old town of Marrakech. Large hotels are rare in the Medina, but it is full of riads transformed into guest houses. For those unfamiliar, riads are traditional houses organized around a central courtyard, offering a quintessential Moroccan experience.

Nearby points of interest: Jamaa Al Fna, the souks, the Secret Garden, the Ben Youssef Medersa, numerous restaurants and superb terraces. The best dining options can be found here.

Pros: Perfect for those who want to immerse themselves in the local culture and explore the city.

Cons: Riad pools are often small, making this option less suitable for families or those looking for total relaxation. In addition, the Medina is not conducive to nightlife due to the difficult accessibility of the riads. Renting a car is not recommended if you are staying in a riad, although taxis are readily available.

Located close to the medina, this area is home to many luxury hotels and casinos and is the epicenter of Marrakech's nightlife, making it a great choice for those looking for vibrancy.

Nearby points of interest: Menara Mall, clubs, casinos, festive restaurants, Jamaa Al Fna, the Medina, as well as Avenue M.

Pros: The hotels are spacious, with large swimming pools, ideal for relaxing or enjoying the nightlife while remaining close to all amenities.

Cons: Accommodations in this area tend to be luxurious and therefore quite expensive.

Pros: Conveniently located, making it perfect for city living. Long-term visitors to Marrakech often opt for Airbnb rentals in this area.

Disadvantages: Guéliz hotel swimming pools are often small or shaded, and these accommodations are not particularly suitable for families.
