My Google searches helped me find AZAR Restaurant. I sent a quick message via Instagram to ask a question about the entertainment and reservation. I had a very quick response and our hotel was a short walk away.

We arrived and walked through the entrance…. I can only use the word surreal. The setting is opulent and you are just transported to an environment that you only see in movies.

The staff are amazing, we had Marium looking after us. Never did we have an empty glass or a dirty plate. The staff are very attentive.

My husband and I decided to try the taster menu and our son chose from the menu.

The starters of chef picked 8 mezzes to share was amazing and plentiful.

I had a tagine, son the barbecue chicken and husband the mixed grill. The mains were ok, grill a little dry, chicken too sweet.

Pudding was great and the mint tea served with flair with our chicha.

The entertainment is inclusive but doesn’t ruin your dining experience, just good fun.

My only real criticism is that there are just too many tables and your intimate meal is shared with every diner sat around you. Getting in and out of our table was a little tight for every diner sat on the side as we were.

Overall an incredible experience that we will remember for a lifetime time!

This place is well located in the heart of the city. It’s restaurant with Lebanese and Mediterranean touch.

We shared few appetizers, I highly recommend:

– feta au four: baked feta with a touch of honey super delicious

– the grilled pawns: grilled shrimp with awesome potato based hommos and sauce around it

– the sea bass carpaccio is delicious as well as the batata harra

As a main we had the Mechwi and Steak. Comes served on a grilled platter so it stays warm and keeps on getting grilled

Dessert: I recommend mouhallabia

The show is also nice with few belly dancers.

We had the shisha too really good one.

Highly recommend for a nice dinner with a light show and shisha. Place gets calmer around midnight and you can move to the lounge area.
